Hi there. So, back on the bike for 4 months after a 5 year lay-off, and it's going OK I guess - certainly, decent base fitness is there. Here's where some training advice would be much appreciated...I've got 3 weeks before I return to the joys of road racing. I used to be a borderline 2nd / 3rd cat, so I sort of know the basics and certainly, my racing talents are very basic! Here's my (probably daft) plan:Thrash it for two weeks, then rest-up / wind-down? A bit like a training camp I guess - you get a sort of super-compensation type thing? Forget the proper scientific term.I've only entered 4 events, so assuming I gain form", I should be able to hang on to it for a month through Sept? Thanks!"
