Not used that many turbos but find the Tacx Satori very good. Stable, robust and you can get up to quite high intensity without falling over. Can be had for £130 or so if you look... I picked one up on fleabay for less than that.

i use a cycleops fluid 2,it can be picked up for around £130 and uses oil. so no levers to mess about with just use your gears. and its quiet as well.

sorry to jump on this thread, but i am looking at buying one soon to help with training, one question... should you or do you have to have different tyres for them? Or would it just mean your rear tyre wears more than the front?

Big G.Elite do a nice range of Turbos.Dont get a fan one - get a fluid or magnetic one as they are smoother and quieter.Elite do a nice set of rollers as well - helps with the bike handling skills. Dave - Turbo tyre link :http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/Cycle/7/Continental_Ultra_Sport_Home_Trainer_Folding_Tyre/5360017042/If they are sold out look at other shops like Ribble or Parker.
