Accommodation near Mont Ventoux

Hello all,Sometime next spring I'm off to give Mont Ventoux a jolly good thrashing and will need a decent B&B and bike hire.Anyone with experience of the area please give me the benefit of your thoughts and if you send me your bidon I'll put it on Tommy's memorial.

I haven't Mike.....But i have close friends who have just returned from Craig's 1 week ago and said it was perfect.......his base is approx 10kms from the foot of the ventoux, allowing time to tackle the mountain from 3 different sides......he also accompanys guests on long rides around the area. i'm told its in a succluded location away from bars ect, i personally think thats a good thing. I'm going to go for three days next year along with 3 days at the www.kingofthemountains , they do work together on such an arrangment so you can cycle the alps as well.  I'm guessing, knowing Guy and Helyn they would only work alongside a reputable couple. Let me know if you decide to give it a go......Steve.

How right you are Eliot. And anyway I thought the original version sounded so much better in the pluperfect tense.Thanks for your input Steven. I'm almost certain to fly over in very late April or very early May next year for a long weekend. If I don't climb the damned thing soon I'll be too old.
