Will it actually affect your performance if you do? I did earlier this week and I wasn't cold...

What do you think Vin.Have you ever stood outside in the winter weather and snow in a pair of boxers and played snowballs. NO.Why. Its bloody cold and damp.Imagine your body trying to heat up with the wind chill of cycling on your naked legs. You are much better having longs on as they keep the damp cold air off your legs and prevent muscle damage and also the dredded cold and flu.

around 15-ish i tend to at least add knee warmers to shorts, especialy if it's windy, once it gets really cold it's time for winter tightsthere's more risk of injury when joints/muscles are cooleryour body will waste energy keeping temperature, at some point to save heat blood flow to your legs will be reduced, starting near the surface, once that takes effect you may not be able to warm up your legs again and they'll start feeling heavy/weak
