How exciting, I finally get to feel the wrath that is Clinton with a race number on!I can hardly contain myself, the puss is oozing out of my wounds as we speak in anticipation! Should make for an interesting race, although from knowing the riders signed on, I can see half of them being (how shall I put it) a little surprised at the pace on the front!

Thanks for that. I'll put it down in my diary as one to avoid. Having said that, I'm getting much better. Still nowhere your level OBM, but getting ok.

It's pretty hilly around Totnes..... Is there a link to this race?

M@ that prologue is right up your alley! 3.5m, mild drag up before kicking up for the last 1.5miles. You can rest easy tonight, as I hate uphill TT's, especially prologues, so I'll let you have that one! Richard, for a race called the Totnes 2 day, it may come as a surprise that the race doesn't go within 40miles of Totnes! The route for stages one and two are around Tom's way (winkleigh) and Sundays stage is around Exeter. Both road stages are predominently flat with one climb a lap each. Quite a decent climb both times mind! Ah, back in teh day they did go around Totnes, with the last stage starting adn finishing around Kingsbridge. Jesus that was hard!

I reckon its a good field though. Some good riders there, but no obvious hitter that is going to ride away from it (Tom Southam aside).

Hmm... Didn't notice Mr Southam, he'll be marked though so I'm not sure he'll get away, they'll always be people on his wheel. You've upset me now saying the courses are flat... I hope the climb's hard enough to split it.

M@ fear not, it'll blow to bits I am sure... Both climbs feature an elongated section along the top before any proper descent, so if you are spat on the climb, you ain't getting back! I've only been around Saturday circuit once, and apart from teh gargantuin pot holes along the A377 its straight forward. The climb is interesting, not too steep, but certainly enough to highlight differences in fitness (more than clibing ability). As for Tom, if he rides it like he rode last weekend, he won't really try anything, but will look to control things...however, with there being more 'teams' present, it should mean he'll race different. I personally think something will blast away early doors on Saturday, and that'll be it. Half the bunch won't know what hit them, the first 15miles are just fast, fast, fast.

Sounds fun, might check out the courses this evening, currently waiting for the Welsh Boy to get to Brum!Judging by last night, I'm not sure I'm going too well... I'm blaming my new pedals.
