Just got a set of Fulcrum Race 3 wheels with the Shimano 8/9/10 hub.Tried to fit an Ultegra cassette and although the Shimano lockring will screw on it doesn't clamp the cassette, so it's still lose on the hub.Do any of you knowledgeable types know if I need a Fulcrum specific lockring, or a spacer, or what is going on here?Any help at all would be much appreciated.Ta

C'mon, if you are using a 10-speed Shimano cassette, you need that thin ring spacer. Comes with either the cassette or the Shimano hub. At a pinch a Mavic spacer will do but it's a bit too thick.

Apologies for not knowing everything. If you use the first spacer (which is only 1mm or so thick) there's a stop on the hub that leaves the spacer sitting about 1/4" off the wheel. When you then slide on the rest of the cassette it protudes too far to get the lockring on. If you don't use the first spacer, the cassette slides all the way up to the wheel and the lock ring can't screw in enough to take up the slack.
