Assuming Wiggins stays with Contador today, and I'm sure he will, I don't think he can take 1'46" out of Contador in the time trial.  And even if he did then I think Contador is capable of leaving the whole field trailing on Mont Ventoux.  So I can't see Wiggins winning this year.Second place, on the other hand, should be within reach.  Wiggins should be able to take time out of Armstrong both in the time trial and on Mont Ventoux.

Cav was made to eat his words today as Thor went off early over two mountains to get the sprint points and made a point to camera about the green jersey!

Am I the only one to think that having oceans of downhill and flat to the end of each pyrenean stage nullified them? Shame on you course designer.

I know almost nothing about very little, but I'm beginning to suspect that Senor Contador has the makings of the very, very best.He was sooo classy today, riding his own race and nullifying the best efforts of the Schleck brothers, whilst demonstrating his superiority to Armstrong and Wiggo. They must now be seriously doubting their ability to catch him.I'm only an occasional gambler but I'm thinking of an early bet on him to win the next three Tours.

Tom "LIMPstrong" Staniford wrote (see)Today's an important stage- I'll make my decision after that. However, I agree- I think Wiggins could win the Tour. Maybe this year, maybe next.Well Tom?

Well done to Thor also.  Now at least he can say he won the jersey fair and square, and put behind him any questions about the rights or wrongs of the earlier stage ...

Well, they let old Thor have a bit of a free ride, but well done to him anyway. What a fantastic stage it was though.

I may not have been impressed with his attitude during post race interviews when he hasn't won but that was a fantastic win on Stage 19 which proves he's not just a flat stage contender.Yes his team were fantastic for him but Thor just hitched a ride and couldn't get past him at the end.

Personally I don't think Cav impeded Thor, but there you go that's just my opinion.as for his attitude, well like other people have said you don't get success without being different, it's the drive and attitude that makes you competitive, and as for being a prima donna, just look at the football players of today that's prima donna a bunch of over payed fags, that would appear to be almost above the law. While British cycling is having such success what with the Olympics and in the Tour lets give these athletes the lime light they deserve,  Wiggins, Cav & Millar they all deserve a damned big slap on the back and lets stop doing the  British thing and knocking success
