We've got plenty planned for June on RCUK, including the London IG Nocturne, the Dunwich Dynamo, testing 'British summer' kit from Rapha, Shutt, and Velobici, and getting coaching tips for time trials, criteriums, road, and track races for those considering a first competitive outing.

What's on your calendar this summer? Racing? Touring? A European sportive? Or just making the most of British summer time on two wheels?

Plans.- Continue with the summer cross series and consider the winter series. Plenty of miles on the road bike depending on the weather, could be turbo/MTB time. Finish my first training program and prepare next years schedule. Watch La Tour, attend York cycle show. Learn, grow and improve.

Buy some decent waterproof gloves and treat my Gore Pac-Lite jacket.
Carbon, without it life would not exist.

    1) Seeing team GB in the mens olympic road race, even if it means sleeping on Londons streets to get a good place.
    2) Training with friends ready for the Action 100 Bristol to London ride.
    3) Training with other friends, ready for a fast (for me) time in the Bristol Belter.
    4) Taking the road bike with with me on the family trip to France this summer.

amazing how quickly you can go off someone

my only plan at the moment is to recover from shoulder ligament damage and hefty bruising after been taken out by a car driver who didn't see me (look properly) when pulling away from the side of the road and immediately turning right into my path last week. Thankfully no damage to the bike!

On Saturday 23rd June I'll be in Liege ready to take part in the Tour de Force - cycling the entire 2012 TdF route exactly 1 week ahead of the real thing. There are 30 of us doing it with another 60 or so joining for anything from a single stage to a couple of weeks. http://www.tourdeforce.org.uk/

Having done the Ride Across Britain John O'Groats - Lands End in 2010 I wanted more of a challenge for 2012 - so 2174 miles in 20 days it is.

Assuming I get round in one piece, not quite sure what I'll do for my next challenge...
