    33 miles for your 1st outing is pretty impressive IMO, especially since you wouldn't be used to the bike! I think I did around 10 miles first time out and I was cream crackered.

    Cheers Nathan...I always try to push myself when I do something new to me. Although the Carrera gets some stick I thought it was a decent ride.

    Had 5 rides now on the Carrera TDF( 135 miles) the only thing that I am changing is the pedals. So annoying when you stop at lights and your fumbling to get your foot in. The bike itself is ok but it's my first one so will be. I do see a lot of great looking bikes on my travels and even if I am driving I look at the make of bikes I pass. Giant seems to be popular and also Scott around Manchester. My average sped is still quite slow at 14mph but there's a few hilly sections around where I live. Enjoying it immensely though.
