Ouch - Yep you guessed it - placed the rollers in the conservatory as the rain was lasshing down yesterday.
Arranged the furniture and a set of small steps so that I could climb aboard and away I went.
Lasted about 30 seconds when the pedal hit the steps and sent me crashing to the edge of the rollers.
Unclipped at the speed of light and placed foot on the floor - only to find that cleats dont have much purchase on a tiled floor at all - especially when under load and at an angel and - down we went - other foot still clipped in.
The wall of the house saved me from too much harm but the cane furniture took a bashing as me hand went through the seat.
Then came to problem of trying to untagle me self and get up and yep - down I went again as me feet slipped for a second time.
Had quick thoughts of throwing a £5000 bike through the patio window - but thought better of it.
After taking the bloody shoes off - moved everything back to the garage and tried again.
After a hard 30 mins rollering gave up and went and played on the X Box.NOT loggin in every and each visit now.

My offer of £150 still stands . . . you could buy several new XBox games for that.

Vlad, I hope you didn't hurt yourself too badly but thank you - I know one shouldn't laugh at others misfortune but you described it so well I could just picture it all and it gave me a good laugh on a dull afternoon

But seriously - are they relatively quiet as they were supposed to be? Quiet enough not to annoy people in a flat below maybe?

Well, did'ya?
You could earn £250 on YBF and pay for some new furniture before the boss finds out.
Mind you, as Carla says, the description was almost perfect. Hope you didn't hurt yourself Vlad. If you try it again, you could try a rubber backed mat on the other side to the steps (available from most DIY stores for not much money) to stop any slipping.
