I really dont like the dropdown bar/box that appears as you finish scrolling down an article. Is there a way to turn it off?

I'm a great fan of the site, but in my view you cannot see the wood for the trees.
Needs to be simplified. A lot.

Agree. The same Backstedt article link/photo appears FOUR times on the home page in various sizes and locations.

Initially I agreed with you Bally - then I looked again and saw that they use the same photo for each stage - ie 1 - 8.
He would therefore appear 8 times with his recon of the route for that stage.

Stage 6 14/9/12 was on my screen 3 times, ok one was same picture different date. Luke rowe also

Thanks, chaps. We have a limited stock of pics for Magnus. The duplicates would have occurred from pics in the carousel and in the racing section. Will try to use different pics going forwards, but it's sometimes a handy way of flagging up that it's the same story. The carousel is our 'front page' so to speak, and the various sections the 'inside' pages.

Technojim - We'll monitor use of the drop down box that appears at the top of the screen when you've scrolled to the bottom of the article. If it isn't used, we'll lose it.

Winprint - thanks for the feedback. It's early days for this new design, but the intention is to simplify it. We've started by streamlining the navigation bar, and we'll continue to weed out unnecessary areas.

Thanks to all for the feedback. The design will continue to evolve, and we'll hopefully end up with something simple, clear, and easy to use.

Can tech guys advise how I enable the spell check please? When I click the button nothing happens at all. Asked on original bugs thread too hoping two pronged attack works.
