Thanks guys it was a nasty prang. I won't go into details about the incident at the moment as its the subject of a police charge but I was the innocent party. Fortunately BC are dealing with my case.

Ive never seen Alu handlebars snapped before so I'm guessing the force of the impact was huge. The bike has been badly damaged and I was the soft squishy part getting in the way of the high impact forces.

Im on the mend now home from hospital after a week. My fractures and injuries should heal up well. I'm now browsing the Internet for a replacement winter bike build project.

At least your enthusiasm for cycling hasn't been dented Greg. Straight back on the horse as they say!

Thanks guys. I'm just pondering if I should wait until my trache hole heals before going on the turbo.

Wow! Genuinely sorry to hear this, Greg. Hope you're ok. Glad to hear BC on the case on the insurance side. Sounds like you're due a new machine and at least a six-month recuperation period in Girona. Get well soon!

Thanks Tim I like the idea of a six month cycling recuperation in Girona. Something nice to dream about.
