Hi all I'm Tom and brand new to the forum.

I have been commuting for the last year, 5 days a week, come wind rain or snow on my cube hybrid.
Initially this was a money saving exercise but I quickly caught the cycling bug!
It keeps my wife happy also as I no longer need to go to the gym to keep fit!

I have recently upgraded to a kuota Korsa lite.(hopefully a good choice??)
Looking to join a local cycling club soon in the Coventry/nuneaton area if anyone is a member of one?

Hoping to get some tips on repairs/DIY as I am completely useless and could save a fortune doing simple jobs myself.

Hi and welcome, Like the line about the money saving, as you have found out its not once that bug bites it bites deep.

The Kuota is a very nice bike, enjoy. and join that club

    Hi Yom.
Not your fault for living near Coventry. You might get over it.
Enjoy the site and be prepared to get grief and snide comments thrown at you.
    we not really mean it.
NOT logging in every and each visit now.
Going to have to BITE someone soon.

There's a nice group in Leamington - maybe a bit too far? Look for Royal Leamington Spa Cycle Club.

Welcome to the forum. You can always check out the British Cycling website for details of a club in your area.

There are several good clubs and groups in the Coventry area but make sure you get into a group that's about on your pace - some of them don't hang about at all.

    Thanks for the welcome

Vlad, As a proud brummie it pains me enough to live and work around Coventry!

Thanks a lot for that link, it turns out there is a club on my doorstep; the Whitestone wheelers. I am going to contact them for some info now.

The plain english campaign will be so proud...

Note to self: Don't drive 200 miles fuelled only by Mway coffee then go on the forum - it just don't come out right!
