CO2 are good, ney great for getting up to pressure [110 psi] fast.
Ones with a control valve on are usefull
Downsides are they get cold when used.
In winter they freeze to your valve and rip the stem out.
You are limited to how many inflations by the number of cannisters you carry.
    Pumps
Good ones for getting up to pressure are big.
Small ones take a lot of effort to use
Ones with out a flexible connection bend your valve stems.
But you always need to carry one as they are reliable unlike CO2
    Combined pump CO2 are good.
The one with the canister at right angles wont fit in your saddle pacck with the cannister attached.
Carbon, without it life would not exist.

You could always have both with the Lezyne combined pump? Not tried one personally, but I have flirted with CO2 pumps and carry one for my MTB but I wouldn't rely on it exclusively as I've had dud cartridges and a cartridge blast off the pump so I end up carrying both so its pointless. If you're having trouble getting enough pressure in - can you get a frame fitting pump on your bike? Or man up and build some muscles - I'm a 6ft, ten stone weakling but I have no problem getting 90 psi with a mini pump!

It's not your destination that counts, it is the glory of the ride. (apologies to Edward Monkton)

Genuine Innovations 2nd wind road pump - pump with integrated CO2. Bloody great bit of kit! Only CO2 I've ever got working and it doesn't waste a drop of the stuff.

I will second that, great piece of kit, even if your cartridges turn out duff I have managed to get a good 90psi via the pump, mind Ive only had one cartridge fail.

Easy to get 90 plus PSI out of a lezyne pressure drive and fill a tyre pretty rapidly - yet to see a truly convincing answer from anyone as to why it is better to use a CO2 canister

When I started out I thought co2 was great and I'd never need a pump - after trying to use it 40miles+ from home there is no better solid feeling than carrying a pump - much more reliable than co2!

That's where the 2nd Wind wins - it's both, and both bits work!
