We saw Lezyne's new lights at Eurobike. Here's a close look at the Micro Drive USB rechargeable commuter lights before we start testing (Macro Drive and Femtos to follow).

Indeed - no shortage of USB sockets in most folks life. Saves carrying another charger or the added cost of supplying one.

I've just bought the Macrodrive set (front and rear) the cost of £85 is comparable to an ygood set. The output is superb enough I reckon for an off road sortie

Ive got em and so far they've been brilliant can't fault em and being able to charge them via USB means I can charge em at work. Charging at work is a big bonus as ultimately its on the way to work that they get the most use and the indicator lets you know when theyre running out so stick em on at work instead of what I used to do which would be forget they were needing charged on the way home and only find batts flat in the morning when they were needed.

I have been using them for a few weeks and on the way to sat group rides and have had comments from the others that they are by far the brightest rear and 2 or 3 have either bought or looking to buy em. Not sure how they will go long term but already have dropped em a few times no issue no dents or owt and the unit itself just feels and looks quality

My only concern is that the rear plugs directly in to the USB port, I'm not convinced that is a good idea as it can be more easily knocked and damaged when sticking out the front of a PC.

Had these a couple of Months now and while the lights are great the rear holder is a bit weak. Came out 3 times in 7 days with the 3rd time I could'nt get to it before a 7 1/2 tonne lorry ran over it. To be fair to Lezyne and the light it stood up to this with the light still working however the opposite end from the light had gone out or round so would'nt sit in the holder correctly and was even less secure. LBS were great when I explained and replaced the light and now I have it locked into the holder with a bit of wire from the packaging. Just a bit of advice if anyone else has them.
