Brad for the Giro next year and Froome for the Tour, it seems. A missed opportunity for a title defence, or a sensible division of labour given the time trial-heavy Giro parcours and a climb-laden Tour?

I'd say more the second than the first but I get the impression that Wiggo isn't out to bag as many Tours as he can for the sake of it but to widen his palmares as much as possible, don't be surprised to see him go for a classic or two and the Giro Vuelta double.
It's not your destination that counts, it is the glory of the ride. (apologies to Edward Monkton)

I agree - I wondered if he'd go for the Giro/Spain. Nice break in the middle and Froome can have a go at the Tour.

I too have decided not to contest the Tour next year and instead I shall support my wife in her constant quest to curb my enthusiasm.

You're turning into the new eliot Mike, albeit with a tad more eloquence and perspicuity.
