    There is a report in this week's comic that Christophe Bassons, that doyenne of anti-doping, has been banned for failing to attend a dope test when he abandoned a MTB race half way. Is this a wicked irony or a case of: if you can't beat 'em, join 'em.

    It's unfortunate, but as the panel said; if you have time to race, you have to make time for testing.

    If people are allowed to simply skip tests with impunity, then riders who know they might be 'glowing' can simply disappear after the race and invite the testers around the next day. That's why the rules are there.
