Ha ha. Good read. Reminds me of this old blog link:
That guy. Everyone has a mate like that guy right?

Didn't mention trousers. My mate forgot his trousers on a weekend tour. He faced the option of going to the pub in the evening in his cycling shorts or erm... not going to the pub if he wanted to save face. Good news was the B&B lady found a pair of her erstwhile husbands, bad news the waist size was that of someone who had clearly spent the latter part of his years in a rather less than active state so they wouldn't stay up. Fortunately we managed to fashion a belt from a bungee cord and a couple of old toe straps. Moral: you can forget your trousers but add bungee cord and toes straps to The List.
It's not your destination that counts, it is the glory of the ride. (apologies to Edward Monkton)

He's Simon Cowell's wardrobe assistant.
And should there be a B-list, containing one entry 'The List' - to be used if you forget to use the list?

I forgot my sleeping bag on a weekend trip MTBing in North Wales. We were camping in tents, in April. I managed to borrow a rather thin duvet from the nice people who owned the campsite but feck was it cold. Slept fully clothed, on an inflatable mattress. Extra layers and a woolly hat but damn was I cold.
