When will bike companies learn that parking a big van or lorry outside their office full of bikes and leaving it unattended is likely to attract the attention of scrotes, who believe it or not are often intelligent enough to work out that it might contain some goodies worth nicking (Santa Cruz lost their entire test fleet not so long ago after leaving a van full of bikes parked overnight outside their offices)

This thread went all the way to 11!

I agree with puddings - if you leave a van full of expensive gear (of any description - bikes or otherwise) unattended overnight then you shouldn't be surprised if it's all gone the next day. It's the nature of the world we live in. Although, some people are intelligent enough to work out there's valuable stuff inside a van, but not intelligent enough to know how to sell it on.

There was a very specific custom built TT bike that was stolen from a young woman a while ago, and the information went around the major bike forums. It popped up on Ebay a few weeks later with the carbon wheels badly resprayed in black, and a set of BMX pedals on it! What a disguise!

It seems to me that people who have been to nasty places and seen nasty things get some relief by enjoying the humour that can be found in even the direst of circumstances.
Other people may have led very sheltered lives ........

Oh dont get me wrong - its a wrong and indecent thing these folk have done - and they should face the full might of the Law as it stands.
    .
But you still can have a laugh at a big company making a basic mistake. Its called security.
