Specialized are actually an excellent company to deal with if you do have an issue - there are far worse, dont beleive the nonsense some have posted.

after all that, turns out the person (scroat) selling said bike, didn't actually OWN it.

he got very twitchy when i offered bank transfer instead of cash (no way was i getting that much cash and walking into a house i've never seen) on further investigation he folded and it turned out the bike wasn't his.

i've picked up a pinarello quattro fp instead.. and now i'm going to have to wait for the ice age to thaw so i can use it.
