    Vallter 2000 Pyrenees climb

Finally did it, last week. Made it to the top of the iconic climb featuring in La Volta de Catalunya this year and last. Last 12 kms are the real climb, altho on Strava there is a 22km climb, but it's the first 8 of the last 12 that are the killer. Every km there is a marker telling you the gradient for the next km and it just keeps getting higher! First one, 8.2%, 2nd one 8.4, then 8.7, then 9.4 and so on. But the last 4kms are easy compared to that, even the famous hairpins at the top.
Took me 1hr 2min to climb, but onlyIMG_20140416_105734.jpgIMG_20140416_111130.jpg 19min to descend! Try it if you are in the area, it's worth it.
