So... if you were to take your lovely clean Squirt treated bike and ride on wet and probably salty winter roads, then gave it a good wash down with the likes of Muc Off, what would you do with the drivetrain... full chain bath and re-apply Squirt, or just wipe the chain with a rag, let it dry off, then re-Squirt?

I wash bike after a wet/muddy ride, dry chain with rag and reapply Squirt.
All the gear and no idea.

I don't go out on wet muddy rides without mudguards so the bike is never plastered. If it was really mucky I'd give the bike frame and rims a spray with the hose then wipe it dry, I never hose the drivetrain, if it isn't too bad I'd just use a damp cloth, wipe the chain dry then apply Squirt and run the chain up and down the cassette to dissipate it. The whole point of Squirt is that it sheds the dirt with it so you don't need to bathe the chain.
It doesn't matter how many times you fall down, its how times many you get back up that count.

    Welcome back CB!

I deep-cleaned my winter/turbo bike a couple of weeks ago and treated with Squirt. Its been interesting seeing the dirt/wax flake off the drivetrain, showing the importance of a proper mat under the trainer!

I rode it on a wet day, it was so easy to clean up. Did more or less what you said. Noticeably less gunk on the drivetrain, most impressive.

Huh. I should be on a plane to Italy right now but the flight was cancelled due to the snow at Bristol airport. Managed to get on an early Ryanair flight tomorrow. Hope that makes it, although the route to the mountains may be blocked due to too much snow.

    Oh the irony

Made it. Roads were blocked earlier but clear by the time we got to the snow. If the sun comes out it's gonna be epic
