    World Championships

Tangent to the Tom Piddock thread anyone else seen this yet? Lauren Dolan in the junior women's ITT: all she was worried about was not getting a higher placing because of the time she lost!

It doesn't matter how many times you fall down, its how times many you get back up that count.

Ooooo bet that stings a bit! She probably didn't feel too much at time due to adrenaline and the race but afterwards not good.
All the gear and no idea.

Odd course for a TT - I know they don't have to be flat, but it's normal - but it did make it interesting to watch.

Tom's time was 'noticeably' faster than the others if you catch my drift.

Nice change - the road race always has a differing parcours and so suiting different types of rider each year so why not the Time Trial as well. Having said that the best time triallists still came to the fore, excepting Tony Martin who seems to have gone backwards this season anyway.

As for Dumoulin I don't see anything to talk about. Probably the best time triallist out there now, he can also climb well and prepared fairly specifically for this.

I enjoyed the course. Funnily enough I was talking earlier about TomDom's slightly unusual build for climbing.

C'mon fellas, 'noticeably faster', 'unusual build for climbing' - thats pretty lame.
He's probably the worlds best time trialist, a GT winner and as fresh as a daisy, so near a minute on 2nd and a minute something on a knackered version of another of the worlds best time trialists and GT winners seems pretty fair to me?
