The Official Tour de France 2018 Thread

Getting in there nice and early, but a GCN video with Landa made me wonder...

How is Movistar going to handle a three pronged attack with Landa, The Old Man and Balberde (said with Spanish accent)?

See whose is strongest and make the other two help him?

If it were me as Movistar DS, I'd back Landa. Too much resource has been wasted in previous years with the Old Man, and once Sky get their beaks out front they are hard to crack.

Landa was crazy strong last year wasn't he! Valvers has shown some great form this year hasn't he, especially given he is coming back from what some thought was a career ending crash.

I can't believe Valverde is still riding, he turned pro when I was avery young man. His career stretches back several decades, I remember him racing Greg Lemonde and the badger.

Yeah he is old - but remember he was (almost positively) supercharged for years - so therefore he is only still young.

On topic - Take it we’re taking Michal with us to help Froome at Le Tour, he was an absolute machine last year!

I think you've got your wires a bit crossed Gasper, he would have been 14 when Lemond retired, Hinault retired before that! I do however recall him racing with Lance Armstrong and the His Lanceness praising him as a star for the future after one shared attack in the mountains.
It doesn't matter how many times you fall down, its how times many you get back up that count.
