Curious because I'm convinced that men do not see dirt and muck - not just ignore, I think their brain has a filter which prevents the eyes seeing it.
There is a difference between keeping things clean and having OCD. Mrs CB has the latter - one crumb or a cat hair requires the whole house being vacuum cleaned. I used to pay a cleaner to come in on Friday when she worked then she'd clean the whole house again at the weekend. My nurses are as bad - there's one sink I'm not allowed to use in case I leave a spot of water on it. This is a vet's surgery FFS things get dirty not to mention I pay the wages!!

My wife will get the hoover out on the basis "if not now, when?"

But the interior of her car would fail a UN biological weapons inspection

I could have written that post, amazing isn't it?

It doesn't matter how many times you fall down, its how times many you get back up that count.

Oh bloody hell, I'm not that bad. I'll admit to tidying the house before the cleaner came when I had the luxury of a cleaner for a while but that was (a) because I'd rather they spent their time cleaning than just tidying and (b) I didn't want them thinking I was a complete slut (that would be the original use of the word not the modern connotation). And the car is probably kept cleaner/tidier than the home!

Carla you raise an interesting point.

We have our own bathrooms, in that she can use mine but I can’t use hers! Ha ha

I do more of the daily chores, then once and a while we give the house a big birthday where she does her bathroom, downstairs loo and kitchen. I do the rest of the house.

We are both tidy and clean, but I let my bathroom get worse than she would.

Washing clothes, dishwasher duty, grass cutting and bins are generally my domain.
