Is there a way of making sure the trainer is 'talking' to the computer, Zwift, e.g power reading, cadence?

Have you got a smart trainer that you can try with his computer to see if its a computer or trainer issue?

Maybe get a replacement trainer, shouldnt be that complicated.

His old Smart TT works with Zwift and his Laptop(s).
    The Elite trainer works perfectly.
The trainer works with the Elite software app etc.
Everything works on Zwift apart from the resistance. He has now tried it with Rouvy and everything works.
It has to be a Zwift glitch.
    Still waiting on Zwift support.

    Success!!!
Completely uninstalled Zwift then reinstalled and all appears good.He still hasn't heard from Zwift support though. They're usually on the ball and quite quick.
Let's see if it works next time he logs on........

Great. That's what I suggested in post #4.

This is a common solution for many computer problems. That's how I fixed my ANT+ detection problems on RGT.

He’d already done it once. When he reinstalled it then prompted an update. This is when the problem started.Uninstalled again and it seems to be OK....for now.
Doesn’t bode well when 1200 quids worth of trainer and (possibly) the largest Training platform struggle to connect.
Not sure I’d shell that amount out on a turbo.

I was lucky and got my Drivo in a sale for £899.

It works a charm, the only bug is that if I get out of the sadle and really give it some - it wobles despite having the large legs on it.

I hav enow got it screwed down with some metal clips.

You're screwed now! How are you going to ride forward with your bike attached to the floor?!

Yes my mate got it on sale at £899 with a further 35%(10%BC+25%friends&family voucher)discount so paid £585
Still a lot of money to drop on a TT though especially for something he’ll only use for 3-4 months per year max.
Still half tempted at that price......only half tempted......
